About Us
About the England Prairie Pioneer Club
The England Prairie Pioneer Club was founded in 1979 by a group of individuals who shared a passion for preserving the history and heritage of the local farming community. In 1981, the club was officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Today, our membership continues to grow, bringing together people of all ages from Wadena County and the surrounding region.
Our Mission
Our mission is to preserve and share the story of agriculture—past and present. We collect, display, and demonstrate the tools and equipment used on farms throughout the years. By doing so, we help visitors better understand the roots of farming, while also highlighting how the industry has evolved over time.
Our Grounds
Located on a beautiful 65-acre site on the southern edge of Wadena County, our grounds are entirely maintained and developed by dedicated volunteers. There are no paid staff—just individuals committed to keeping local history alive. Ongoing improvements are made possible through fundraisers, donations, and grants.
Events & Activities
We host several events throughout the year that bring the community together:Pioneer Days (August): Our signature 2½-day event featuring demonstrations, exhibits, and the popular antique tractor pull.Spring Pancake Supper: A favorite seasonal fundraiser.Fall Pancake Supper: Another opportunity to gather and support the club.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to growing and improving for future generations. Our goals include expanding our collection of historical memorabilia, enhancing our grounds, increasing community involvement, and making full use of our unique and scenic property.
